About Kevin Liebkemann
A lawyer by day and musician by night, Kevin Liebkemann is a New Jersey-based songwriter whose love of wordplay, telling stories, and playing guitar comes together in memorable songs. Kevin's musical influences include great storytelling songwriters like John Prine and Townes Van Zandt. Kevin's New Orleans roots and his love of traditional and modern folk and Americana music comes through in his songs.
It's About Time!
Despite being known in the local songwriting community as a prolific writer, Kevin just released his first studio album of original songs, About Time, on October 18, 2024. The album features 10 songs that touch on the concept of time. There is a dash of romance (Dreams, Something Good) to go along with themes that Kevin enjoys writing about like family (Mothers Love, Ordinary Days, Scrapbook, Little Cloud), love of food and drink (Time for Tea) , and facing adversity (Running Out of Time, She Cleans). The album features a stripped down, uncluttered style that lets listeners focus on the stories unfolding in the lyrics. Kevin sings and plays guitar while drawing on talented local musicians to add just the right touch to each track.

What's Kevin Up To Lately?
Kevin actively participates in activities of songwriting organizations like the Skylands Songwriters and the Philly Songwriters Circle, which means he's always working on a new song. He's also a member of the NJ Folk Project and Musicians on a Mission. Kevin is playing live shows featuring his original songs, and is also in the band L&B Line which plays old school country favorites and other songs that the band loves at venues around New Jersey. Kevin's next planned studio projects following the About Time release include an instrumental EP with guitar and flute featuring Kevin and Diane Doolittle, and then an EP to indulge Kevin's love of songs about food and drink.
